Post a request and read quotes

A request tells sellers what you want to buy and the most you will pay. Sellers answer with a quote. Only you see the quotes, and no seller sees another seller's quote.

Before you start

• Posting a request is for dispensary, wholesaler and processor licences. If Budtello has your licence wrong, or your business both buys and sells, email help@budtello.com.
• You can have 5 active requests at a time. A request runs for 14 days.
• A dispensary licence asks for tested flower only. A wholesaler or processor licence may also ask for untested flower.

Post a request

1. On the market, open the Requests tab and click New request. Or filter the market first, then click Post this as a request: your filters fill in the form.

   

2. Fill in Pounds and Max price (dollars per lb). Both are required.

   

3. Narrow it down if you want: Type, Grow, Grade, Nose and THC. Type, Grow and Grade left on Any, Nose with nothing tapped, and THC at its far left stay open.

   

4. Incognito is ticked to start with: sellers see “a verified buyer” instead of your name, and a seller learns who you are only when they quote. Untick it to post under your name.

   

5. Click Check the market first to see what is already for sale close to your ask. If you came from the market, Post request works only after this check.

   

6. Click Post request.

   

   You should see: Your request on the Requests tab, open, with a line saying it is posted.

Read the quotes

1. Open the Requests tab. When quotes are new, the tab shows New.

   

2. Look at the Quotes column: how many sellers quoted and the best price. New marks a quote that came in since your last visit.

   

3. Click the row, or Open.

   

   You should see: Every quote: the seller, the strain, the grade, the pounds and the price per lb. Click the strain to see the lot.

4. Click Open conversation to talk to that seller in Messages. The price can be worked out there.

Close a request

• Click Close as filled when you bought what you needed, or Close as not filled when you no longer need it. Both act at once. Before any seller quotes, Edit beside Open changes the request instead.
• Closed requests move to History. Re-open works until the request's 14 days run out.

Answer a request with a quote

For farms, wholesalers and processors. A quote names a strain, a grade, the pounds and your price. It goes only to that buyer, as a price card in your Messages with them.

• Price one lot on Sell first. Until then the Requests tab reads Price one lot on Sell first.
• You can quote any strain, in your inventory or not.

1. Open Sell, then the Requests tab.

   You should see: Every open buyer request in Oregon, under Open.

2. Read the row: Qty, Up to / lb (the most the buyer will pay), Type, Grow, Grade, THC, Nose and Tested. Quotes is how many sellers quoted; you never see their prices. Click Quote on the row.

3. Under What you are quoting, pick one of your lots, or A strain you name and fill in Strain and Grade. A lot fills in its price and pounds.

4. Type Your price (dollars per lb) and the Pounds.

5. If the buyer should know something, such as harvest, pickup or terms, write it in Note (optional). On a Tested only request, say there when results are due for an untested lot.

6. Click Send quote.

   You should see: “Quote sent” and the request under Quoted. A buyer who posted as “A verified buyer” shows their name once you send.

• Open conversation opens your Messages with that buyer. The price can be worked out there.
• While the request is open, Edit quote changes your quote (then click Update quote), and Withdraw takes it back.
• When the buyer closes the request or it runs out, it moves to History.
