Price and list a lot · 0:56
On Budtello the price is the switch. Give a lot a price and it goes on the market. Take it off the market and the price stays.
Before you start
- Your Metrc inventory is imported (Connect Metrc). Imported lots stay private until you price them.
- Your licence is verified. Without that, a price is saved but the lot stays private.
- Your licence is a farm, wholesaler or processor licence. A dispensary licence cannot list.
Price a lot
Open Sell. On the Inventory tab, find the lot. A lot with no price reads Unlisted, and its price box is empty: it shows $/lb, or a price in grey.
Type the price per lb in the box, for example 1200. “1,200” and “$1,200” work too.
Press Enter, or click outside the box.
You should see: “(strain) listed” with Undo. The row now reads Listed, and buyers can see the lot.
Enter also moves you to the next row's price box, so a column of lots is a price, Enter, a price, Enter. Shift+Enter goes up a row.
If the lot cannot go on the market, the price is still saved, the lot stays private and the message starts “Price saved”, then says why:
- the lot needs a real strain name;
- the lot is untested: it can go in private offers, but the public market is tested only;
- your licence is not verified yet;
- your licence is a dispensary licence.
A price in grey
A grey price in an empty box is one Budtello remembered: the draft price you typed for that lot on Metrc Inventory, or the price an earlier lot of the same harvest and strain was listed at (a restock). Press Enter in the empty box to use it, or type a new price.
A lot with no strain name
Metrc sends some lots with no strain name, such as “Flower”, “Buds” or “Multi Strain”. Those rows show Name it beside the name. Click it, type the strain and press Enter; Esc closes the box without saving. If you typed a price first, Budtello keeps it and prices the lot once it has a name.
Change a price
On a listed row, type a new price in the box and press Enter. Or click −$25 or +$25.
You should see: The new price. The lot stays listed.
Changed your mind while typing? Press Esc. The saved price comes back.
The −$25 step stops at $10. To go lower, type the price.
Price many lots at once
Tick the rows you want to price.
Type the price in the $/lb box beside Base price:. Click Set price.
With 10 rows or more, Budtello asks you to confirm first.
You should see: “Priced”, the number of rows, how many went on the market, and Undo. Undo puts the old prices back.
The same ticked rows take a Type, Grow or Grade in one go: click Set… and pick one. The pop-up stays open, so you can set all three; press Esc or click outside it to close it. On a narrow screen, the same choices are in the row's ⋯.
Set… holds every other choice a row has too, for all the ticked rows at once:
- Trimmed (Hand or Machine) and Sample (Yes or No): set on the Metrc lot behind each row, so a row you added by hand is left as it is.
- Firm: click Yes or No. Rows with a price only.
- Floor and Auto-accept: type a price per lb and click Set, or click Clear. Each lot keeps its own rules: its floor stays under its auto-accept, and its auto-accept sits above its floor and at or under its price. A lot the new price would break is left as it is.
- Pound breaks: type them as on the row, like 5 280, 10 260 (pounds, then the price per lb), and click Set; Clear removes them. Every ticked lot gets the same breaks, and a lot whose price is not above every break is left as it is.
- Colour, Nose and Notes: pick the colours or the nose words, or type the note, and click Set. What you set replaces what each ticked lot had; Clear empties it.
Each one asks you to confirm from 10 rows. Its message counts the lots it changed and the ones it left as they were, with the reason, and offers Undo for 30 seconds: Undo puts each lot's own old value back.
Take a lot off the market
Click Listed on the row.
You should see: The row reads Unlisted, and “(strain) unlisted — price kept” with Undo.
To put it back on the market, click Unlisted.
Many lots at once: tick the rows, then click List or Unlist on the bar above the table, after +$25. Every ticked lot with a price changes in one go, and the prices stay. With 10 rows or more, Budtello asks you to confirm first. The message offers Undo for 30 seconds, and says how many lots it left as they were and why. On a narrow screen, both buttons are in the bar's ⋯.
Undo
- After you price, list or unlist a lot, the message that confirms it offers Undo for 30 seconds.
- Undo on a lot you just listed takes it off the market and keeps the price.
- Delete acts at once. Its Undo lasts 8 seconds, and the lot comes back unlisted.
